Kiln Drying (KD) & Processing
Kiln Drying & Processing
Kiln-Dried (KD) Lumber
Lumber can be dried in two ways: kiln drying and natural (air) drying. In kiln drying, we generate heat using our boiler system and control temperatures according to the intended use, selecting either medium- or high-temperature kiln schedules as appropriate. After drying, we perform moulder processing, pre-cut machining, project-based sorting, and shipping under an integrated management system to deliver stable, reliable quality.

STEP 1
Boiler Room
Bark and offcuts generated during sawmilling are effectively reused as boiler fuel. The boiler produces steam that serves as the heat source for our drying kilns.
-
STEP 2
Kiln Drying (Steam Kilns: Medium & High Temperature)
Using steam supplied from the boiler, lumber is slowly and carefully dried in medium- and high-temperature kilns, reducing moisture content to around 20%.
Because stable, low-warp and low-check lumber is essential for homebuilding, we apply conditions suited to each product: high-temperature schedules for structural members, and medium-temperature schedules for boards. -
STEP 3
Moulder Processing
After drying, lumber is run through a moulder to produce products in various sizes and cross-sectional profiles.
We create profiles suited to each application—such as exterior cladding, flooring, and interior materials— balancing quality and usability. -
STEP 4
Pre-cut Machining
Structural members for buildings are machined at our pre-cut mill.
By processing joints and connections in advance, we improve on-site workability and help shorten construction time. -
STEP 5
Warehouse Management
Dried and processed products are stored and managed in our warehouse before shipping.
Structural members such as posts, beams, and girders are organized so they can be sorted by project, enabling us to ship the right materials in the right quantities when needed. -
STEP 6
Shipping
With care for each product, skilled staff prepare and load shipments meticulously, delivering to construction sites and customers.
Through our drying and processing expertise, we supply lumber with stable, consistent quality.
